Hello Dancer!
Welcome to the Melva Smith School of Dance;
we'd love to have you join us!
MSSoD has been training Coppell area dancers since 1986. We pride ourselves on being known for our high standards in quality dance training in a nurturing, positive and disciplined atmosphere while instilling life lessons through the art of dance.
We offer classes in a wide variety of disciplines for ages 3 to adult.
From students wanting one or two classes a week to the competitive dancer, we've got a place for everyone and can't wait for you be a part of our family!
Our teachers instruct and inspire, engage and encourage.
At MSSoD our dancers learn more than great dance technique, they learn to be ladies and gentlemen, they learn kindness and compassion and they learn to be leaders.
We work hard to make class the highlight of your sweet dancer's week!
Our preschool program is the oldest in Coppell and there's a reason we've been here for over 35 years! We know moms and dads want it to be fun, making new friends all while learning manners, grace and skills on their way to a love for the art of dance!

Wednesday, May 1st at 7:30pm: Q & A for NEW and interested families regarding Performance Company and audition questions, led by Miss Jessica, Company Director at the studio.

May 6 & 7, Picture viewing with Concept 7: to see and order photos taken last week. CLICK HERE to schedule a viewing time during class hours.

May 6-11: our final Bun Bucks week of the season! Send those bun bucks, dancer dollars and birthday bucks!

No classes will be held on Memorial Day, Monday May 27th, instead the Monday classes will rehearse together on Friday, May 31st from 3:30-5:00pm. Enjoy your holiday!

MSSoD Weather Policy.

If CISD schools close or cancel after school activities, we close as well.

If inclement weather moves in after school hours, Miss Rachel will make a determination for the safety of our students, parents and teachers, many who drive from around the metroplex to take class or teach.

Any closing will be emailed out to the entire studio, posted on our social media and web site and on our voicemail.
